These run from order confirmation, and each is followed by prep, acclimatisation and the fit itself. Survey to written quote is 48 hours regardless of service.
- Luxury vinyl (LVT & SPC): 1–2 weeks
- Floor restoration & sanding: 1–2 weeks
- Engineered wood: 2–3 weeks
- Solid wood: 2–4 weeks
- Herringbone & parquet: 3–5 weeks
Where flooring belongs in a renovation
After the wet trades and plastering have dried, after first-fix, and generally before skirting so the perimeter detail is clean. In a kitchen, decide early whether the floor runs under the units — it changes the sequence completely and can't be revisited later.
What delays a job
Screed that hasn't dried out is the single most common one; a new screed can hold moisture far longer than people expect and we won't lay over readings that fail. After that: unresolved level changes, thresholds that need joinery, and decisions on finish colour left to the last minute.
Booking around a deadline
Tell us the date the room has to be usable at survey and we'll work backwards through fitting, acclimatisation, drying and delivery to tell you the last safe order date. That's more useful than promising a fast turnaround and missing it.
